As a non-profit Cooperative, we are unique from other housing.  We govern ourselves through a democratically elected board, and as members we actively participate in the life of the community through the decision-making process.  In this way, we contribute to the future of our community.

What does this participation look like?  

• WE ATTEND the open Board Meetings.
• WE FAMILIARIZE ourselves with the Cooperative's governing documents including the Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and the Occupancy Agreement. 
• WE STAY INFORMED by reading all posted notices.
• WE VOICE our ideas, concerns, suggestions, and solutions at board meetings and/or committees.
• WE PARTICIPATE by serving on the Board of Directors and serving on committees, whether on-going, or for special projects and activities.
• WE CONTRIBUTE our skills, talents, knowledge, experience and energy with the whole for expansion and improvement.

When many contribute a little, so much can be accomplished!  We get to know our neighbors, have the satisfaction of seeing the results of our efforts by combining our expertise, and most importantly, strive for balance in the distribution of responsibility.  

In addition to the benefit of owning a share in the Cooperative, we enjoy affordable housing, a vote in electing our Board of Directors, and the opportunity to be part of a growing vision for community.
